Six Sixes In A Row

Yuvraj Singh's Six Sixes: A Record-Breaking Inning

Six Sixes in a Row

In a 2007 World Twenty20 group stage match against England, Yuvraj Singh made history by hitting six sixes in a single over bowled by Stuart Broad.

Singh's remarkable feat made him the first Indian and second player overall to achieve such a feat in international T20 cricket.

Fastest T20I Fifty

Singh's blistering knock of 50 runs off just 14 balls was not only memorable for the six sixes, but also for being the fastest fifty ever scored in a T20I match.

The previous record was held by Shane Watson of Australia, who had scored a 50 off 19 balls.

3 x 4, 6 x 6

Singh's over against Broad consisted of three boundaries and an astonishing six sixes.

He started with a boundary off the first ball, followed by two more boundaries off the second and third balls.

The fourth ball sailed over the boundary for a six, and Singh followed that up with five more consecutive sixes, leaving Broad shell-shocked.

Match Context

India eventually won the match by 18 runs, with Singh's innings playing a crucial role in their victory.

India posted a massive total of 218/4 in 20 overs, with Singh's 50 coming off just 14 balls.

England fell short in their chase, finishing on 200/6.
